EXCLUSIVE – PAUL CAMPAIGN OUTLINES CONVENTION STRATEGY: Ron Paul’s chief strategist Jesse Benton acknowledges in a memo going to supporters and interested parties this morning that the Texas congressman will not win the nomination, but he argues that they will still be well-positioned to have a positive impact in Tampa. Keeping open the possibility that they could arrive at the convention in August with “several hundred” bound delegates, Benton outlines “several positive and realistic goals.”
Paul and Romney staffers are in discussions about bringing several additions to the platform up for consideration – including monetary policy reform, prohibitions on indefinite detention, and Internet freedom. “Finally, by sending a large, respectful, and professional delegation to Tampa, we will show the Party and the country that not only is our movement growing and here to stay, but that the future belongs to us,” Benton writes.Parece que quieren reclamar su lugar en el partido, sin molestar demasiado. Suena a que ya están pensando en Rand Paul 2016.
