Herman Cain quintuplica su presencia en los medios

Según Smart Politics:
Herman Cain's overwhelming victory in the Florida straw poll on September 24th has not only resulted in his numbers spiking in a few state and national public opinion surveys, but it has also contributed to a surge in media coverage that no candidate has achieved since Rick Perry entered the race in mid-August.

(...) A Smart Politics review of Lexis/Nexis news transcripts from ABC, CBS, CNN, FOX, MSNBC, and NPR finds that Cain was mentioned in as many news broadcasts during the week of September 25th to October 1st following his Florida straw poll victory as the previous five weeks combined - good for third best in the GOP field.

(...) With his newly minted bronze medal in media attention, last week also marked the first time Cain eclipsed Michele Bachmann in news coverage since the Minnesota congresswoman entered the presidential race.
Pero First Read señala que su agenda para las próximas semanas no es la más adecuada para capitalizar este momento favorable:
So Cain now has his moment, and guess what: He doesn’t appear to be using it. For starters, with about three months until the Iowa caucuses, he’s going on a book tour for much of October. Second, he's not scheduled to be back in Iowa until mid-November. And third, his communications director just left his campaign -- to work for the re-election of Louisiana’s lieutenant governor (!!!). Those aren’t just signs of someone who’s unlikely to win the GOP nomination; they’re signs of someone who isn’t really trying to win, a la Mike Huckabee in 2007-2008. Cain does, however, meet with Donald Trump today. If you judge Huckabee’s 2008 campaign as a success, then Cain is on a successful path.
