Pawlenty pondrá transporte continuo en Ames

Voting at the Ames Straw Poll doesn’t have to take all day.

Tim Pawlenty’s campaign will be running continuous shuttles between Akeny and Ames, a 30-minute drive, for activists who just want to cast a ballot and leave, said Polk County chair David Funk, who has not endorsed a 2012 candidate. Another Pawlenty shuttle will be picking Iowans up from a Wal-Mart parking lot a few miles from Ames.

“That’s the first candidate running shuttles,” Funk said. “Brilliant idea. That’s just good business sense. It keeps people from getting mad trying to find a place to park and leaving.” (...)
