The Republican presidential primary in Louisiana, voting tomorrow, features a modest amount of super PAC spending with Mitt Romney's super PAC spending slightly more than the super PAC backing Rick Santorum. Here's the breakdown:
Anti-Santorum: $589,325
Pro-Santorum: $430,002
Pro-Romney: $146,984
Pro-Gingrich: $69,822
Meanwhile, the pro-Romney super PAC is racking up huge spending disparities in the April 3rd states Wisconsin and Maryland. In both states the Romney-backing super PAC is the only candidate super PAC making substantial expenditures. The group reported spending $1.29 million in Wisconsin and $437,150 in Maryland. The Santorum super PAC has, so far, reported no spending to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) in either state.
