A GOP source confirms to me that Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder is planning on endorsing Mitt Romney tomorrow.
The event will take place at a Greater Farmington Area Chamber of Commerce event at noon in Farmington Hills, a Snyder aide tells Reid Epstein.
The endorsement is a not a huge surprise, since Snyder had made clear he planned to weigh in before the Feb. 28 primary, and both Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich seemed like unlikely prospects. Endorsements by statewide or former statewide officials have also had little impact on moving voters so far this cycle.
That said, it's a feather in Romney's cap, and comes at a time when he is underscoring his homestate cred in Michigan.
