"Mirad todo lo que he construído"

Human Events ha entrevistado a Donald Trump en su despacho del piso 25 del Trump Tower, en la Quinta Avenida de Nueva York. Se muestra orgulloso de sus logros en el sector privado, presume sin modestia alguna de que no hay nada que se le resista, y explica cuales serían las prioridades de una administración presidida por él.

A diferencia de otros posibles candidatos, Trump no habla de austeridad, no se detiene tanto en el déficit o la contención del gasto público, y habla en términos más generales de reconstruir la grandeza de América y restaurar su posición dominante en el mundo.

(...) “I know what I’m doing. I’ve made a tremendous amount of money, and I’m willing to put that skill to use in this country. I know for a fact that our country is being ripped off by every intelligent country in the world, whether it’s China or India. I can name so many of them.”

(...) “This country has become a whipping post, an absolute whipping post.”

(...) “I see us being totally manipulated and controlled by Russia telling us how many missiles to make and when to make them. Since when does Russia start telling this country what we can produce in terms of the military?”
