El Super PAC de Romney planea gastar 2.3 millones en SC

The New York Times:
The “super PAC” supporting Mitt Romney is placing a huge chunk of money on advertising in South Carolina — $2.3 million worth — as it prepares to wage what is expected to be a far more intense race after the New Hampshire primary on Tuesday.

The group, Restore Our Future, said Monday that it was making the buy for ads that would run Tuesday through Jan. 21, the day of the South Carolina primary. It first went on the air there on Dec. 27 with a 30-second spot that emphasizes Mr. Romney’s credentials as a businessman who created jobs and helped rescue the Salt Lake City Olympics.

Carl Forti, a senior strategist for Restore Our Future, said Monday that the group would continue to use that positive spot for now. Though he said the group would run other commercials before the South Carolina primary, he declined to say whether they would attack any of Mr. Romney’s rivals. “That I cannot characterize. You’ll have to wait and see.”
